JACA to Speak at The Netherlands World Expo Program “Future of Food” held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai (2025/6/5)
We are pleased to announce that JACA will be participating in The Netherlands World Expo Program, An Invitation to “Future of Food” (June 5, 6, 9, 10), held at the Netherlands Pavilion during EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
JACA will take the stage on June 5 at the seminar titled “Innovative Solutions for Future Food Production.”
The Dutch government was one of the first in the world to provide public funding for research and development in cellular agriculture. In 2022, the Netherlands announced a €60 million investment to support cultivated meat and precision fermentation, creating fertile ground for innovation and commercialization.
This program will feature stimulating presentations and interactive sessions where companies, researchers, and policymakers will exchange views on how to make food production more efficient, sustainable, and future-ready.
In the morning, JACA will participate in an interview session titled “Background on Cultivated Meat” alongside Ms. Ira van Eelen, co-founder of Cellular Agriculture Netherlands. In this interview, we plan to discuss differences in regulations and challenges regarding cultivated food in Japan and the Netherlands.
In the afternoon, JACA is also scheduled to join a panel discussion. The session will be moderated by Mr. Hideki Katagiri, Attorney at Nishimura & Asahi. Panelists will include Ms. Kozue Toyama, General Manager of Business Development and Marketing at Toyo Seikan Group (Singapore), Mr. Hojin Kang, Agricultural Advisor at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Seoul (Korea), and Ms. Cindy Gerhardt, CEO of Planet B.io (Netherlands).
